Adding your iTunes artwork to your project gives your app a polished look when you are testing or deploying to test users.  In order to get your application’s icon to appear in iTunes there are a few simple steps to follow.

  1. Create a 512×512 version of your applications icon in png format.
  2. Save the png file to your application Resources folder as ‘iTunesArtwork.png’
  3. In ‘Finder’ navigate to the Resources directory and remove the ‘.png’ extension from the file
  4. Do a clean build of your project for Device.

With those steps you should see your application icon show up in iTunes.

  1. Just a friendly reminder as you answered in the help ticket area you have to go into finder and select Get Info and then select the Name Extension area of the Get Info window. Then remove the “.png” from this. Just using the finder and removing it and not going into the Get Info window will result in the icon not showing up.
