Training Lab Winners

Two photographs of colored pencils and a paint brush combined to form a new object.
We just wrapped up an intensive three days of training in our “Real Apps with Titanium” series. In my first session, I asked developers to come up with the initial prototype for a fugitive tracking application useful for today’s mobile bounty hunter. It might take a while for this app to hit number one, but these three developers got off to a great start:

Brian Kurzius (Grand Prize)

Richard Lustemberg

Anthony Decena

In the space of an hour or two, in between lectures on Titanium application development fundamentals, Brian whipped up a nice little iPhone application which initially pulls down a list of fugitives from a remote server, and maintains a local copy in a SQL database. It’s a great quick and dirty example of doing basic CRUD and network communication in Titanium. Check out the source for his winning entry below. Great work by all our lab participants!
